Frequently Asked Questions
How do I plan a vacation without spending hours on research?
Most travelers end up with dozens of browser tabs, conflicting restaurant lists, and no confidence in any of them. A done-for-you planning system gives you one trusted source covering everything from before you leave to after you arrive: what to pack, how to get around, where to stay, where to eat (with specific picks marked as Most Recommended, Budget-Friendly, or Worth the Hype), and day-by-day itineraries you can customize. Every recommendation was personally tested by someone who actually lived in the city.
What's included in a Long Stay planning system?
Each guide is an interactive PDF (30-60 pages) with clickable booking links. It covers: the inside scoop on the city's culture and history, key local phrases, weather by month, best time to visit, how to get there, how to get around, what to pack, money tips, recommended stays and apartment rentals, a full restaurant and food guide, things to do (from bucket list activities to hidden local spots), health and wellness options, staying connected, and emergency info. Everything is designed to take you from planning your trip to navigating the city once you're there.
What's the difference between a planning system and an insider's map?
The planning system is the full package: before, during, and after your trip. It's a 30-60 page interactive guide covering everything from packing to itineraries to restaurant picks. The insider's map is a curated Google Maps link with hand-picked pins categorized by emoji (restaurants, activities, cafes, nightlife, places worth driving to). You save it to your phone and use it on the go. Many travelers grab both for the same destination.
How are these guides different from what I find online?
Most online travel content is AI-generated, written by someone who visited for a weekend, or ranked based on paid placements. These guides are built from actually living in each destination for extended periods. Every restaurant, activity, and accommodation was personally visited and tested. The guides include a rating system (Most Recommended, Budget-Friendly, Worth the Hype) so you know exactly what to prioritize. Just honest, firsthand picks from real experience.
How do I pick the right neighborhood for my trip?
Every planning system includes a breakdown of the best areas to stay, with recommended hotels, resorts, and apartment rentals for each. The guides are built by someone who explored each neighborhood firsthand, so you get real context on walkability, proximity to restaurants, safety, and vibe instead of generic hotel booking site descriptions.
What should I pack for my trip?
Each planning system includes a "What to Pack" section tailored to that specific destination, factoring in the climate, cultural norms, and type of activities you'll be doing. It's based on real experience packing for and living in each city, not a generic packing list copied across destinations.
Can I use the guides on my phone while traveling?
Yes. The planning systems are interactive PDFs with clickable links for booking and reservations, so you can tap directly to book a restaurant or check out a recommended stay. Everything is designed to be used on the go while you're exploring the city.
What destinations do you cover?
Currently 11 destinations across Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East: Albania, Bali, Buzios (Brazil), Crete (Greece), Dubai, Lisbon, Marrakech, Medellin, Mexico City, Nice (France), and Tulum. Each guide includes curated itineraries specific to the destination, from 5-day city trips to 2-week road trip routes.
Do the guides include restaurant recommendations?
Every guide includes a full Eat & Drink section with personally tested restaurant picks. Each recommendation is marked with an icon: Most Recommended (top picks), Budget-Friendly (great value), or Worth the Hype (popular spots that actually deliver). Some guides also include Traditional Things to Try, specific local dishes, and food culture context so you know what to order when you get there.
Are these guides up to date?
Guides are updated every 3 to 6 months to keep recommendations current. Since the guides include direct booking links and interactive features, the recommendations are designed to stay relevant. If a destination sees major changes, guides are updated to reflect them.
